Date & Time
The North Fork Animal Welfare League hosts its summer family fun day and adoption event (adoption fees waived all weekend) on July 28.This year’s open house is extra awesome, because it’s the League’s 55th Anniversary.
As such, they’re inviting previous adopters to bring their well behaved canines be part of a giant photograph that will be prominently displayed. The event will also feature North Fork School for Dogs’ trainer doing agility demonstrations, a NFAWL trainer doing basic commands/relationship-based training demonstrations and a whole bunch of stuff for the kids. There will be craft-making with Penny Kelley (Teen Dept/Southold Library), face painting with Susan Ellsworth, along with treats for people and pets (vendors/booths), cool clothing/jewelry for sale to benefit the animals and shelter tours.
