Description

DID YOU EVER WISH YOU COULD DRAW REALISTICLY?  HERE IS YOUR CHANCE.  OUR WORKSHOP IS OPEN TO ALL INTERESTED ADULTS.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Portrait Drawing -This class is beneficial to students of all levels.  Students will learn to draw the human face in black and white.  Students will be drawing from a photograph while learning to see value, shape, proportion and placement; the ultimate goal is for students to capture a true likeness of the subject. Ms. Shih has come up with a way of teaching that is nothing short of magical.

INSTRUCTOR: Patricia Shih is an award-winning painter and glass artist, as well as a performing artist and filmmaker. She received her BFA in painting with a minor in photography from Lone Mountain College in San Francisco.  After college she exhibited in California, and her work was accepted by the largest art gallery in San Francisco. After moving to NY, Ms. Shih  exhibited in numerous galleries in Manhattan and on Long Island. The New York Times described her as …"a realist with a romantic touch."
