Description

"Join Executive Director Gina J. Wouters and landscape architect CeCe Haydock for a conversation about how archive collections are playing an integral role in informing the future of Planting Fields.  They will share key findings from the Cultural Landscape Report, the comprehensive document serving as a roadmap to guide our understanding and preserve the historic landscape of Planting Fields designed by the Olmsted Brothers. Be the first to learn about some of the changes visitors will see in the landscape in the coming months.

CeCe Haydock graduated from Princeton University (BA English) and received her master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the SUNY School of Environmental Science and Forestry.  After working for the New York City Parks Department, she joined the firm Innocenti and Webel in Locust Valley, NY before starting her private practice. A trustee of Planting Fields Foundation, CeCe is an officer of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) national leadership sustainable group, a member of the International Council of The Preservation Society of Newport County and a visiting lecturer at the New York Botanical Garden. She has written and lectured on historic Italian, French, and American gardens for numerous gardens and horticultural clubs including Maine’s Beatrix Farrand Society and California’s Virginia Robinson Garden. Currently, CeCe is SITES & LEED accredited, and is enlarging her practice to focus on sustainability and “green” building."
