Let's get to know the new “Turtle Rock” section in Ridge; we'll take time to visit Longwood Estate on an out-and-back hike; bring tick spray and bug spray; meet in the D.E.C. Rocky Point State Forest parking lot on the north side of NY 25; from L.I.E. Exit 68, go north on Wm. Floyd Pkwy. to NY 25; go west to parking lot, on the right past Woodlot Road; or from the west take NY 25 past Wading River Hollow Road, and parking lot will be on the left; park in the front facing NY 25, as we will be hiking south from the lot; bring water and snack; heavy rain cancels.
