Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker will host a free Senior Health and Wellness Fair on Friday, June 21st from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at St. Mark’s Church, located at 105 Randall Road in Shoreham. With over 25 resource tables, the event, hosted in conjunction with the Stony Brook Trauma Center, will offer free balance screenings, free blood pressure and health screenings, and free senior citizen identification, as well as provide with information about health and nutrition programs, falls prevention, Suffolk County Senior Advocates, emergency preparedness, and home safety. Suffolk County Police Officers will also be conducting Operation Medicine Cabinet, where residents can drop-off unwanted or expired medications. In addition, refreshments will be provided and the first 100 attendees will receive a free reusable shopping bag.
