Description

Showcase Cinemas presents Sensory Sensitive Screenings, a monthly program that offers accommodations for movie-goers who may find a trip to the cinema overstimulating. To kick the program off, Showcase Cinemas is proud to present, the highly anticipated family film, “Incredibles 2,” in a sensory sensitive environment.

The 14-year wait is over! Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2.” Helen (Holly Hunter) takes the spotlight, while Bob (Craig T. Nelson) is at home with Violet (Sarah Vowell) and Dash (Huck Milner) trying to figure out how to live a normal life. The transition isn’t easy, especially with the family still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. A new villain comes to town, so the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again.

To provide a sensory-sensitive environment, the following adjustments will be made to the auditorium:

  • Volume will be reduced
  • Lights will remain dim throughout the movie
  • No trailers will play prior to the film
  • All films will be presented in 2D
  • Guests may get up, move around, dance, cheer, clap, sing or otherwise engage with the movie presentation
  • Guests may bring fidgets, small blankets, or other items that will allow them to feel more comfortable

*This film contains a sequence of flashing lights which may affect customers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or other photo sensitivities.

Please visit the box office at your participating Showcase Cinemas location to purchase your tickets.
