"Work together to survive in the great outdoors! In this all-new family workshop, we'll explore the essentials to roughing it in the wild: knot tying, shelter building, and building a fire!
First, we'll meet in the museum for a quick crash course. Learn which knots are best outdoors and how to tie them, the many types of survival shelters and the dos-and-don'ts of building them, and finally what you'll need for an effective fire and how to choose the right one for your purposes. Then put your new skills to the test in the preserve! Will your family build a strong shelter using only what they find there? Can you work together to build a fire that burns long enough to toast a marshmallow? Find out during this Sunday morning workshop!"
