Scattered power outages are expected. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph, or gusts of 46 to 57 mph, are expected or occurring. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles, in open areas, and on elevated roads and bridges. Description

The Summer Arts Academy at the Long Island High School for the Arts (LIHSA) invites all interested middle school and high school  students with artistic  passion  to an Open House on Saturday, February 3 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. LIHSA is now accepting applications for Summer 2018. Artists from across Long Island are invited to meet with LIHSA Principal Dr. Chris Rogutsky Bleecker, along with the school's expert faculty and staff, and experience classes focused on their specific interests in the visual and performing arts. For grades 6-12.
