Summer of Science: Salt Marsh Scientists!

Presented by The Ward Melville Heritage Organization

July 30-August 3

10am-1pm at the Ernst Marine Conservation Center

Aspire to be an expert of the Salt Marsh!

Guided by local marine scientists, participants will conduct scientific research monitoring birds, crabs and plants in the heart of an 88-acre wetland preserve at West Meadow Creek, Stony Brook. Along with discovering the populations, communities and biodiversity of the marsh, we’ll observe concepts like zonation, and learn about what we can do to protect the marsh. Participants will also learn about the diverse field of science related to protecting marine life. For ages 13-17.

Fee: $265 for the week. Register by March 30 for the Early Bird rate-$250. Sibling rate: $240 (minimum 10 participants, maximum 15. Two weeks notice is required for all cancellations without penalty).
