"Join us for a 20-25 minute per mile paced hike over varied terrain in this county park paralleling the river; the trail opens to a picturesque beach, with scenic views of Moriches Bay and Fire Island National Seashore; after hiking along the beach we will return to the trails to complete the loop; hiking shoes are recommended; bring ample water, snacks and a smile; binoculars/cameras for wildlife viewing optional; snow, heavy rain cancels; light rain does not; meet near the Kaler’s Pond rest rooms; L.I.E. Exit 68, or NY 27 Exit 58S to William Floyd Parkway; go south to Montauk Hwy/ C.R. 80, then left/east onto Montauk; at 2.9 miles keep right to stay on Montauk Hwy/ C.R. 80, then 2.1 miles to Kaler’s Pond Park on left (Terrell River park is across the street); GPS: Camp Pa Qua Tuck, 2 Chet Swezey Rd, Center Moriches, NY 11934.
