Temple Israel of Lawrence, 140 Central Avenue, Lawrence, N.Y., is pleased to host a special 45th anniversary screening of THE APPRENTICESHIP OF DUDDY KRAVITZ, what is widely regarded as among the greatest commericial and critical successes in Canadian cinema history. The film will be shown on Saturday, February 8, 2020, starting at 7:00, and will include a tasty kosher nosh. The film is Free to members of Temple Israel and Friends of Temple Israel, and admission is $10.00 for all others.
Richard Dreyfuss gives a breakout performance as a brash Jewish hustler seeking to emerge from the ghettos of Montreal in this beloved Canadian classic. The film also stars Michelle Lanctot, Randy Quaid, Jack Warden and Joseph Wiseman.
