Description

This meditation retreat is in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King’s contribution to fostering social justice and world peace. His practice of non-violence and his commitment to world peace is in complete alignment with Buddha’s teachings and meditation practices. The retreat will include an introduction to meditation, a commentary on the relationship between non-violence and Buddhist teachings, guided meditations, followed by a question and answer session.

The Beauty of Inner Peace – 11am-12pm

Practicing Non-Violence & Skillful Action – 12:30-2pm

Everyone is welcome. No meditation experience is necessary.

There is no fee, but a $7 donation is appreciated to enable us to offer other meditation programs in the future. Refreshments will be served.
