United Veterans Beacon House will host its 5th Annual Veterans Salute Gala on Thursday, October 5 at Carlyle on the Green at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, NY. The cocktail reception will being at 6:30pm, and the event brings together community leaders, elected officials, professionals and philanthropists to network while raising critical funds to help United Veterans Beacon House assist homeless veterans, veteran families and Long Islanders in crisis.
Much of Beacon House's success can be attributed to this year's honoree, Carol Peres. The mental health programs and housing services for local veterans Carol helped establish during her tenure as Chief Supervising Clinical Social Worker of all Veterans Administration Medical Center in Northport.
