Description

The Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County (HMTC) presents  Edward Westermann, the Regents Professor of History at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, who will give a virtual presentation about his new book, "Drunk on Genocide," which is being published in association with the US Holocaust Memorial Museum in DC. Westermann has unearthed new material showing how alcohol consumption served as lubricant for mass murder and that contrary to the common misconception of the SS as stone-cold killers, they were, in fact, intoxicated with the act of murder itself.
