The Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County (HMTC) presents a virtual "Curator's Corner." HMTC’s Museum and Programming Director, Dr. Thorin Tritter, will discuss a photograph in the museum taken during the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, which was launched on April 19, 1943, 78 years ago this week. This actions in Warsaw, the largest and symbolically most important act of Jewish resistance during WWII, inspired uprisings in other ghettos (Bialystok and Minsk) and killing centers (Treblinka and Sobibor).
