Art historian Sylvia Laudien-Meo brings us on a virtual tour of New York City to showcase the beauty and complexity of the metropolis' street art. On a shared screen, we will be able to look at some of the early historic street artists, visit important NY neighborhoods and projects, become familiar with giants in the contemporary foeld, discuss dominant themes, and see a sampling of some striking projects, including responses to the pandemic and Black Lives Matters movement of 2020. This is a Zoom presentation that can be viewed in the library or from home. Library members may register by visiting our website. For additional inquiries, please call the library at 631-567-5079.
