Date & Time
Save the Sound, a bi-state program of Connecticut Fund for the Environment and the Long Island Sound Study, invite you to join your colleagues for the 2016 Long Island Sound Citizens Summit. We celebrate 25 memorable years, by focusing on the citizens who initiate change to protect the Sound. A dynamic offering of workshops are planned. Participants will learn new innovative tools for understanding the Sound's health, how to use data to drive local water quality improvements, citizen science monitoring, data analysis, and how to communicate science with clarity and impact. There will be opportunities for networking, engagement, and honing effective communication skills, as well. Additionally, we will honor legendary activist and Soundkeeper, Terry Backer.
