Description

Opening event for A FAMILY OF WOMEN exhibition of works by three artists who explore the relationships and histories of their own family of women. Each artist will share a brief story/memory related to the subjects in their work on display and take questions. An open mic will follow, where audience members can share a memory or story of a special woman in their life (time limit 5 minutes).

Presented by The Greater Westbury Council for the Arts, A FAMILY OF WOMEN is a month long celebration of the experiences that connect us as women and create a family that transcends all boundaries. Exhibition of works by three artists who explore the relationships and histories of their own family of women will be on display at the Long Island Writer's House from March 6th through 12th.
