On Wed, Sept. 17th, J.K. Hodge will celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the Islip Public Library with a special program from the Historical Society of Islip Hamlet. The society is proud to present a discussion and live performance of a 1920's Buster Keaton silent film. Mr. Hodge, a local film composer and pianist, whose grandfather provided live music for these films, will be discussing the role Islip Township played during the Silent Film era. Mr. Hodge has written an original score to a silent film which he'll also perform. The program will be held at the Islip Public Library, 71 Monell Ave., 7-9 pm, and is free and open to the public.
