Named for the 19th-century scientist who pioneered computational programming, this event is part of an international celebration of the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Dr. Rebecca Wright, director, Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science, Rutgers University, and a professor in the Rutgers Computer Science Department, is the guest speaker for Hofstra’s Ada Lovelace Day celebration. Dr. Wright’s research focuses on information security, including cryptography, privacy, foundations of computer security, and fault-tolerant distributed computing, as well as foundations of networking.
