The Alzheimer's Foundation of America's (AFA) annual free, educational conference - AFA Concepts in Care - comes to the Marriott Melville Hotel on October 26. Designed for both family and professional caregivers, this event will feature educational presentations on a variety of topics, including an overview of the disease and updates in research, effective communication, and planning and paying for long-term care. In addition, members of AFA's board of trustees, will participate in a panel discussion, sharing their personal stories of caring for loved ones with Alzheimer's disease.
In addition, Project Lifesaver International, will demonstrate its search and rescue technology. The conference will also feature an exhibit hall and free, confidential memory screenings.
