"Dab of Paint" Lecture Series at the Art League of Long Island
Join us in a series of free lectures hosted by Debra Wells - Art League Chairperson and Co-Founder of Artful Circle
Why is it called the "Dab of Paint" lecture series? In homage to Mrs. Lorraine Grace, the generous benefactor who donated thousands of art books to the Art League's library, we are honoring her personal ritual of marking every book in her collection that she read cover to cover with a little dab of paint. While perusing through the books, one is sure to find quite a few dabs!
Why a lecture series at the Art League? The vast collection of art books is a treasure trove of information that is crying out to be shared with artists and art enthusiasts. Wells explains, "Many people have a basic knowledge of art, but want to know more. My goal is to make the images and content from the book collection come alive so everyone can develop a deeper understanding of art history and the creative process."
All lectures are 11am-12pm or 7pm-8pm on Mondays.
To register call (631) 462-5400 x222.
