Audacity of Abstraction refers to the process wherein the artist marks the surface, or assembles elements, using materials of choice with the intention of creating a painting, drawing, sculpture - a work of art. While one does not abstract from nothing and references to reality may be evident, the work is essentially conceptual, intuitive, and non objective. The artist alone makes the determination as to whether the result of this process "works" and courageously puts it out into the world for all to see.
Exhibit featuring work from Shari Abramson, Garson Leiber, Roy Nicholson, Dan Welden, and Dennis Leri.
