Blessing of the Animals Service at Centerport United Methodist Church

Centerport United Methodist Church will hold a Blessing of the Animals service on Saturday, April 19^th at 1:00 pm.  All are welcome for this fun, unique celebration of our beloved pets featuring music, prayer and special blessings.

“The devotion and love we receive from our pets brings such joy.  They show us humans a thing or two about how to give love and embrace those around us.  Our service will celebrate the bonds we share with these wonderful ‘family’ members, whether dogs, cats, birds, horses, snakes or even a treasured stuffed animal,” said Rev. Roy Grubbs, senior pastor of Centerport United Methodist Church.

The Blessing of the Animals will be held in the field behind the church, followed by a BBQ lunch for humans and special treats for pets.  In addition to the blessings for living creatures, pet lovers are welcome to bring photographs in remembrance.
