New York Times best-selling author Alice Hoffman will discuss and read from her latest novel, The Marriage of Opposites, a forbidden love story set on the tropical island of St. Thomas, about the extraordinary woman who gave birth to painter Camille Pissarro - the Father of Impressionism. Hoffman, who grew up on Long Island, is the author of several best-selling novels including, The Dovekeepers and The Museum of Extraordinary Things.
Copies of The Marriage of Opposites will be available for purchase and signing at the event. South Huntington cardholders can get free tickets to the event beginning Sat., Sept. 12.
