Description

Long Island Jewish Medical Center's breastfeeding classes introduce the basics of breastfeeding and prepare expectant parents for a healthy breastfeeding relationship with their baby.

Topics covered include advantages of breastfeeding, mother and baby nutritional needs, breastfeeding techniques and effective latching, bottle use, breast pumping, returning to work, and common facts and myths. Bring a baby doll or stuffed animal to class.

Please bring a baby doll or stuffed animal for demonstration purposes. This class will begin promptly at 7:00 PM Please call 718-470-5134 for weather related announcements.
