Let's get an early, cooler start and hit the beach; afterwards we'll see the Sound from the top of the cliffs and take some side trails back; meet in the Caumsett lot (fee, or free with Empire Passport); from NY 25 take Woodbury Rd. north, which becomes West Neck Rd. after crossing NY 25A, continue north about 6 miles to park entrance on left; from the east take NY 110 north, go left (west) on NY 25A to West Neck Rd., make right and go approx. 6 miles to entrance on left; bring water & snack; heavy rain cancels.
