Professor Joseph Pescatore of Nassau Community College discusses the wide variety of inspirations for fashion design, citing designs that spring from a sketch and others that are strongly influenced by the drape or pattern of material. Halston, the subject of the Museum’s current exhibition, at times was inspired by origami, the Japanese art of paper cutting. Program is limited to 15 people.
