This workshop introduces girls to the cutting edge breakthroughs in engineering. Girls will be working on contracting circuits, experimenting with electromagnetism, and learning how scientist and engineers at the Lab are working together to solve important problems. Topic include: imaging technology using charged coupled devices, building particle detectors, designing linear accelerators, exploring the strength of various structures, and detecting invisible parts of the electromagnetic spectrum. Girls entering grades 7-9 are eligible to participate. Join us for a science-filled, fun packed week! Transportation included.
