On July 16, 1981, folk rock superstar Harry Chapin died while en route to perform at a scheduled free concert at Eisenhower Park, reportedly suffering a heart attack before a fiery crash on the Long Island Expressway near Exit 40. Now, 34 years later, some 30 friends and admirers of Chapin will perform the singer’s best known works - including the iconic “Cats in the Cradle” - at a free show on the 27th!
