Description

Please join us on February 5, 2017, for the Long Beach Polar Bears Super Bowl Splash benefiting Make-A-Wish Metro New York. Swimmers will meet at Riverside Beach, Long Beach, New York (between Riverside Blvd. and Broadway). The fun starts at 12:30 pm, culminating with the ocean plunge at 1:30 pm.

The 18th Annual Super Bowl Splash is held in honor and loving memory of young Paulie Bradley, who passed away at the age of 4 before being able to receive his wish.

Through their annual, community-driven Super Bowl Splash, the Long Beach Polar Bears have helped to make hundreds of heartfelt wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions come true. They have raised over $5.2 million since the first jump in 2000.

Over the past 17 years, the event has inspired thousands of caring and daring people to jump into the ocean for a good cause. Former wish kids, Make-A-Wish volunteers, staff and board members are signed up to join the jump. During last year’s Super Bowl Splash, over $450,000 was raised to grant the wishes of kids with life-threatening medical conditions.
