The Long Island Choral Society under the direction of Conductor Meredith Elaine Baker, will present Johann Sebastian Bach’s masterpiece, Mass in B Minor on Saturday, March 14 at 8:00 pm at Adelphi University’s Performing Arts Center in Garden City.
The group will be accompanied by a 24 piece orchestra and acclaimed professional soloists, including Matthew Curran, Bass, David Kellett, Tenor, Andrea Saposnik, Mezzo Soprano and Megan Weston, Soprano.
Few works in the choral repertoire embrace such a colossal range of expressive power as Bach’s B Minor Mass. It is often considered the greatest work of choral music ever written.

The Long Island Choral Society is in its 86th season and holds the unique title of the oldest continuously performing group on Long Island. The group of singers, both amateur and professional, has been led by Conductor Meredith Elaine Baker since 1979. An accomplished organist and music educator, Ms. Baker has led the group to an earned reputation for singing the finest works of choral music in performances of the highest caliber.
