Chinese New Year is a major holiday for Chinese communities around the world, and has significantly influenced the Lunar New Year celebrations of its geographic neighbors. Known in modern Chinese as the "Spring Festival," the New Year festival is based on centuries-old myths and traditions. In 2017 we celebrate the year of the Rooster.
Landmark presents three free performances in the Jeanne Rimsky Theater, with food and free crafts in the gym "sandwiched" in between.
Featuring The Art of Chinese Dance by the Nai-ni Chen Dance Company, plus performances by the New York Chinese Chorus and iSchool of Music and Art.
