Description

(mostly) TRUE THINGS is a storytelling show that features true stories - with a twist - told live, without notes by people from all walks of life, ages and backgrounds. Four storytellers share compelling, captivating and often comedic stories from their own life.

All the stories except one include carefully-crafted deceptions or “little white lies.”  The audience has an opportunity to question the storytellers, then vote for the person who told the unvarnished truth. Audience members who choose the correct person get a prize.

Host/creator Jude Treder-Wolff is a writer/performer, singer and creative arts psychotherapist who has been featured on the RISK! podcast and live show, Talk Therapy and Prose Of Pie storytelling shows, and told stories at The Moth. Her solo storytelling show Crazytown: my first psychopath was selected for the 2013 Midtown International Theater Festival and the 2012 Chicago and San Francisco Fringe Festivals.

Crazytown was also performed at The Pit-The Peoples Improv, Actors Theatre Workshop and Broadway Comedy Club in NYC, the Charles B. Wang Center at Stonybrook University, in Stonybrook, NY and The Conservatory New Jersey.

In collaboration with composer Wells Hanley, she co-wrote all the songs performed to set up each stage of the game in (mostly) TRUE THINGS.
