North Hempstead, NY – Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board are pleased to announce the latest in an ongoing series of seminars hosted by North Hempstead Business and Tourism Development Corporation aimed at helping North Hempstead businesses navigate the tax implications and health benefits of the Affordable Care Act.

 

The seminar will feature a panel of experts including Kenneth Laks, CPA and Kyle Sloane. Laks is the Tax Principle at Albrecht, Vizziano, Zureck and Company and specializes in tax law. Kyle Sloan is the Senior Vice President of Insurance for Newtek Insurance Agency, LLC with degrees in Insurance Economics and Finance Economics. These two speakers will help guide small business owners in navigating the nuances of the new requirements of the federal Affordable Care Act, and the new Empire State of Health Marketplace. Laks and Sloane will be available to advise business owners on how to reduce costs and maximize the benefits from the new healthcare exchange.

The Business and Tourism Development Corporation (BTDC) is an independent agency within the Town of North Hempstead that works to grow local businesses and promote tourism within North Hempstead. This is the second in a series of seminars on the Affordable Care Act by the BTDC aimed at exploring the tax implications and health benefits of the Affordable Care Act a year after implementation.

 

The seminar will be held March 20, 2015 at the Harbor Links Club House and will begin at 8:00am. A free continental breakfast is included with registration.
