On Sunday afternoon, October2 at 3 p.m., Concerts by the Pond begins its third season with an organ recital featuring the thrilling sounds of the Casavant organ at St. John's Church in Cold Spring Harbor. The organist, Dr. Carol Weitner, will present a program of works by Bach, Boehm, Franck, Mulet, and others, which will showcase the wide dynamic range of the organ--from the beautiful and delicate flute sounds to the power and majesty of the trumpets and the full organ ensemble. A reception will follow in the church social hall.
