In 2011, author and teacher Velya Jancz-Urban and her family bought a 1770 Connecticut farmhouse. The walls uncovered many nitty gritty secrets of what life was really like for New England’s colonial women, including how everyday practical matters of sickness and medicine, sex and birth control, childbirth and menstruation were handled by our foremothers. It wasn’t all quilting bees and spinning wheels! Please call the Southampton Historical Museum for reservations at (631) 283-2494. Co-sponsored by the Rogers Memorial Library.
