One of the Top “Glam Rock” Acts of Its Era
British rock band The Sweet rose to worldwide fame in the 1970’s, carving out a decade of new style that changed music and fashion forever. The Sweet’s influence has been touted and revered across many genres, from Boy George to Kiss, to Poison to Guns & Roses. In an interview on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, lead singer for Guns & Roses Axl Rose gave credit to two bands that influenced him the most growing up and The Sweet was one of them.
Decades later, the late great founder Steve Priest came out of retirement to put together his version of how he wanted his legacy to be presented, represented, and preserved into the future. After hearing drummer Richie Onori and keyboardist Stevie Stewart, he enlisted two more top-caliber musicians that could equally capture and deliver with the same intensity and prowess as his original line-up did. They were off to the races performing hundreds of shows around the globe.
Today, Stevie and Richie’s talented line-up proudly features the amazing Patrick Alan Stone on lead vocals, blazing guitarist Jimmy Burkhard and keyboard wizard Dave Shultz. With the upcoming release of “Little Miracle,” The Sweet is poised to capture the hearts and minds for a whole new generation of fans.
