The North Shore Pops Concert Band is considered to be Long Island’s favorite concert band. Known for performances of the beautiful music of George Gershwin, the snappy tunes of Cole Porter, and the elegant jazz of Duke Ellington. Other repertoire performed by The North Shore Pops Concert Band are exciting Sousa marches and other American patriotic selections. Contemporary hits performed include songs by Stevie Wonder, Carol King, and many other composers of today. The North Shore Pops Concert Band is also known for their renditions of some of Broadway’s best music, Hollywood themes, and light Classical music, too! Come out and join us for a fun evening of music from different time periods with the North Shore Pops!
Artists of all ages and levels of experienced are invited to collaborate in the creation of a single work of art with a community spirit. Under the guidance of the artist/instructor, participants will help create a painting that represents our artistic spirits and shared experience. The resulting work will be displayed prominently in the community.
