Exercise caution handling any potential ignition sources, including machinery, cigarettes, and matches. Any fires that ignite will have the potential to spread quickly. This forecast considers meteorological, fuel, and land conditions and has been developed in coordination with state fire and land management officials.

Description

Don't miss out on the 1864 Independence Day Celebration which will feature a re-creation of a Long Island July 4th celebration 1861, at the beginning of the Civil War, honoring the soldier recruits of the New York Volunteers. Celebration will also have a National Patriotic Picnic ( bring your own picnic lunch), band concerts and fiddle music, children's games, rifled muskets firings and patriotic parade and ceremony.
