LTV Studios and Jewish Center of the Hamptons will host “A Concert for Israel” to support Humanitarian Relief in Israel in Studio 3 on Wednesday, December 13. The evening will begin will the lighting of the Menorah at 6:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m. There will be wines donated by Amagansett Wine & Spirits and potato latkes made by Charlotte Sasso. ABOUT MICK HARGREAVES:

Having gotten the build of his sprawling hundred-year-old farmhouse recording studio completed, Mick Hargreaves has returned to releasing new material, all of it recorded at the Lantern Sound Recording Rig. In August 2022, "Crystal Ball", a cowrite with Joe Delia, was released to all streaming platforms. His latest single "See What You Can Make With This" was released in April of 2023, and then in May 2023 Mick's rendition of "Half as Much" appeared on the 22-song "Hank Williams Uncovered" tribute release (Paradiddle Records).

 

ABOUT JEFFREY LEVITT:

Jeff Levitt has been playing guitar in bands since the year the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show. He is currently a member of The Moondogs and the Steve Tekulsky Band. ABOUT PETER MARTIN WEISS:

Peter studied the guitar and string bass as a teenager and later attended the Berklee School of Music. He received his Bachelor's degree from SUNY Oneonta and a Master's from Manhattan School of Music. One of his greatest mentors was Homer Mensch, principal bassist of the NY Philharmonic, with whom Peter studied for six years. Peter became an established bassist on the New York Jazz scene. Venues include Birdland, Tavern on the Green, The Village Vanguard, a six-year engagement at the Blue Note for Saturday brunch, and many live radio broadcasts from the West End Cafe. He also performed with the Bronx Symphony, the Greenwich Village Symphony, Ain't Misbehavin', and Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. Peter was a member of the Etta Jones/Houston Person Quintet for ten years, touring internationally and performing at premier jazz festivals and concerts. On the Savant record label, he recorded on over 40 CDs, including his own, Bass Hits. His 40 years of performance credits include playing with Nat Adderly, Ray Bryant, Randy Brecker, Frank Wess, Winard Harper, Michael Carvin, Lew Soloff, Claudio Roditi, Donald Harrison, Hank Crawford, Richard Wyands, Gloria Lynn, Grady Tate, Kenny Washington, and Lorez Alexandria. Peter met and married pianist Jane Hastay in San Francisco while on tour. Together, they produced the CDs "Never Never Land" and "The Good Life." Peter taught at the State University of NY at New Paltz on the jazz faculty. Now living in East Hampton, he sings with the Choral Society of the Hamptons and performs locally on bass and guitar.

 

ABOUT LAUREN LEBOWITZ:

Lauren has been seen in numerous National tours, Off Broadway and Regional productions, readings and workshops. Favorite credits include Godspell (Nat'l tour, cast recording), Footloose (Rusty, Nat'l tour), Fiddler on the Roof (Tzeitel, Casa Mañana), Hair (Jeanne, Arizona Theatre Company), Title of Show (ATC) and Wallenberg (Rosa, Broadway lab/New World stages/NYMF, White Plains Performing Arts Center), To Paint the Earth (Southwark Playhouse, 37 Arts/NYMF), Yeast Nation (La Mama). Lauren toured with the USO, entertaining our troops and veterans with performances on army, marine and submarine bases, naval ships, at Bob Hope's 100th birthday, on NBC's “Today Show,” and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Lauren is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Royal Academy of Music and proud mom to Jesse, Theo and Chase.
