Local Amateur Radio (ham) operators will be participating in a nationwide test of emergency communications for 24 hours from 2:00 p.m. Saturday June 22nd until 2:00 p.m. Sunday June 23rd, by setting up temporary short-wave radio transmitting stations at the Smith-Longwood Estate, a Brookhaven Town Park in Ridge.
