Description

Anti-Semitic hate crimes are on the rise, up 57% in 2017 from 2016, the largest single year jump on record, according to the Anti-Defamation League. This feels like a crisis, something to head off, especially when the rise of anti-Semitism is combined with hate crimes against Muslims, Blacks, Hispanics and immigrants.

Michael D. Choen, Eastern Director of the Simon Wiesenthal Center will address this topic and what is being done about it. The Simon Wiesenthal Center is a global human rights organization using the lessons of the Holocaust to confront anti-Semitism, hate and terrorism, training tens of thousands on prejudices, diversity and tolerance issues and supporting the State of Israel.

This event is open to the public and admission is Free. We ask that you register ina dvance by February 21, by calling the Temple Israel Office at (516) 239-1140, or by emailing alan.freedman@tilny.org.
