"We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during this trying time. The LIM believes in the power of the arts to unite us and soothe our collective spirit. In an effort to inspire you to explore your own creative side we are launching At Home with LIM, a series of online family art and history activities, based on the Museum’s collection, historic buildings and grounds. A new lesson will be posted each Monday while we are closed to the public. Postings will include images from the Museum’s collection for inspiration, as well as instructions for an at home activity that can be done with household supplies.

Here’s how you and your family can participate in At Home with LIM:

  • Check the LIM’s website – – each Friday for a hint about the upcoming project. If there are any supplies we think you might need to prepare, they will be posted at that time as well.
  • After enjoying the lesson, please send us pictures of your family and your creations, so we can post them on social media to share with our community.
  • Use the #AtHomeWithLIM and tag us @limuseum on Instagram and @LImuseum on Facebook when posting your finished projects on your own personal pages. Please have your post set to “public” and we will then share/repost them on our social media pages.
  • If you have any questions email us at:

We hope that you and your family will join us for an opportunity to shift your focus, even just for a moment, and take part in something uplifting and positive together."
