The annual Juried Invitational High School Art Exhibition presented by the Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts (BAFFA), will take place on April 13 and 14 from 1 to 4 PM at the BAFFA Art Gallery. Twelve area high schools will be represented in this year’s exhibition. They are Bayport-Blue Point, Bayshore, Bellport, Brentwood, Commack, Connetquot, Eastport-South Manor, Longwood, Patchogue-Medford, Sachem East, Sachem North, and Sayville. This is always an exciting show with some of the best artwork by local high school students. Among the prizes to be awarded will be the Jacqueline C. Palmer Award, the Olivia and Harlan Fischer Award, and two awards from Women Sharing Art. The award ceremony will take place on April 13 from 2-3 PM. The show is open to the public and is free.
