Date & Time
When Zak signed up for a three-year enlistment with the Marine Corps in 1967, the United States was already well embroiled in the Vietnam War. A native of Queens and a college student at the time, he set off for the jungles of Southeast Asia to fight in a difficult war. During his 13-month tour, he documented his daily life whenever he had access to a camera, capturing images of the Vietnamese countryside, the people he encountered, and his fellow Marines. Fifty-plus years later, he will share these images and describe his experiences.
