Description

The first and only woman to hold the title of Prime Minister of Israel, as well as the serving as Israel’s Minister of Labor and Foreign Minister, Golda Meir is one of Israel’s, and the 20th century’s most important and fascinating figures.

Lioness: Golda Meir and the Nation of Israel, a biography of Meir by Francine Klagsbrun, will be the focal point of the 70th Anniversary of the State of Israel: A Cultural Celebration hosted by the Gold Coast Arts Center and New York State Senator Elaine Phillips. A book-signing, Q&A, and reception with the author will take place on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. at the Gold Coast Arts Center, 113 Middle Neck Rd., Great Neck, NY 11021. 

This event is free, but space is limited. Reservations are required by calling 516-829-2570.  Lioness, by Francine Klagsbrun, may be purchased for $30, which entitles the buyer to a reserved seat for the book discussion. Book sales are optional but not included in the free admission All remaining seats will be general admission on a first-come, first-served basis.
