The Leopard at des Artistes offers a selection of authentic Italian dishes, served among stunning restored murals by 20th century artist Howard Chandler Christy (the restaurant is located in the historically-landmarked Hotel des Artistes). The restaurant will ring in the New Year with delicious traditional Italian fare.

Christmas at The Leopard will feature appetizers such as a Christmas salad of clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, and octopus in fresh lemon dressing, served on a bed of baby greens and parsley; a classic homemade Parmigiano and veal tortellini soup made with free-range chicken broth; risotto with artichoke and crab meat; oven roasted baby goat scented with rosemary, served with peas and roasted potatoes; broiled Mediterranean Branzino, olive oil, and lemon, served with braised escarole; and classic Italian Christmas treat Struffoli.

New Year’s Eve will include a special prix fixe menu, priced at $170 pp, featuring four courses of Italian favorites. (The a la carte will not be available after 10:00PM.) Dishes include a section of West Coast oysters in a mignonette sauce as an appetizer; organic farro and porcini mushroom soup; risotto with prosecco, winter radicchio, and stracchino cheese; traditional “Cotechino con Lenticchie” (Italian fresh sweet pork sausage slow cooked with organic lentils and herbs); and a dessert of nougat and buffalo ricotta parfait in a chocolate sauce. For New Year’s Day the restaurant will be serving dinner only, from the a la carte menu as well as chef’s specials.
