Founded in 1921, Barnklubben Elsa Rix #1 is Americas oldest and longest running children’s Swedish dance club.
Elsa Rix has been a staple in the Swedish community throughout the tri-state area, having performed at many annual events, big and small. It is free to join and open to children ages 2-18. Any child with an interest in Scandinavian culture is welcome to join, even if you aren't Swedish! We welcome new comers at any point during the year.

There are no membership fees, costumes are loans from the club and it is run by volunteers (former Elsa Rix kids) and helpful parents. During practices children learn traditional Swedish folk dances, and leading up to the Christmas season, Swedish Christmas carols!
