EPIC Long Island announces that two prestigious organizations and a family with Long Island roots are to be honored with one of the nonprofit’s highest distinctions, the EPIC Long Island Leadership Awards, which will be presented at the 33rd annual gala dinner celebration on Thursday, March 1, at the Garden City Hotel in Garden Center, NY.
Alan Littman from NFP Corporate Services, based in NYC, will be honored with the Corporate Leadership Award, and the NYU Winthrop Hospital Department of Neuroscience will receive this year’s Professional Leadership Award.
As the second generation of family committed to EPIC LI’s mission, Joyce Silverman Fish and her brother Stephen Silverman will be presented with the Naomi and Barney Silverman Family of the Year Award, named in honor of their parents, who were among the founders of the agency.
In keeping with the theme of this year’s gala, “Thursday Night Fever,” event festivities will pay homage to the 40th anniversary of the classic disco-era film, with live music and dancing. Tickets and more information are available at www.epicligala.org.
